Allowable warpage of a head is in the ballpark of the allowable runout of wheels and brake rotors.Ģ)Never, ever use an airgun to tighten. Those of you with a fair amount of engine knowledge will recall that cylinder headbolts take a fair amount of torque and that removal AND installation instructions are extremely specific on the order and torquing of the bolts. Tightening and loosening should be done sequentially and gradually to prevent warping of the wheel and or brake rotors. ![]() You can take my advice or leave it.I won't be offended:ġ) I would recommend loosening all the lugnuts and retorquing them when removing one or more nuts.
